I am Sophie, an animal loving, indoor-climbing, open-hearted Willie Nelson fan, and one who will cry on your wedding day.
I am known for my cool, calm exterior because keeping you calm is my number one priority. If you're relaxed then I know I will be able to gain your trust and that's imperative when shooting your day.

As a trained oil painter and garden designer, my inspiration comes from nature and the renaissance painters, particularly Caravaggio, not for his subjects but for his use of light. I believe a moment can be explained in the smallest sliver of light, and that it's all the more powerful. Alongside this I love to celebrate the colour on a wedding day, so you'll always find bright imagery, and nothing desaturated here.

I don't spend hours looking for a hero shot where I might be missing the natural, candid opportunities. But where a chance arrives, I will take it. "Photos aren't important until that's all you have left". The photos I have of my family are SO precious to me. What matters most is that we're always on the same page and that you have no concerns about the day after our comprehensive pre-wedding
meeting.

Choosing a photographer based on their photographs isn't enough. That person will be with you all day, through the tears, the moments when you might need a minute, when it all feels overwhelming. 12 years in, I am proud of the fact that so many couples mention my extra help on the day and how they couldn't have done it without me.
